We need volunteers to help with the cleaning of the trees and brush that has grown on the back side of the damn over the past 7 years. We have to do this maintenance as required by our recent dam inspection late this summer. We need people to help cut down the trees, clear the smaller bushes and brush and clear the stumps so that we can keep the area clear with a brush hog going forward. We need people that can do physical work, but it shouldn’t be hard work. We will have a chipper available, if you need wood chips, just ask and be ready to remove that day (you will have HELP). No debris can be left on site. Volunteers will have first dibbs.
- Where: At the Dam
- When: Sunday, Oct 21 at 11am
- Who: All residents welcome. This will be moderate physical work. Kids should be 14 or older.
- Clothing: Layered (long pants and long sleeved shirts), Safety glasses, gloves and work boots, if you have them.
- Tools needed: Chain saws, manual tree trimming saws, limb cutters (loppers), weed-eaters, rakes, shovels and anything else you think we might need. Bring what you have, everything will be used.
- Label your tools, so nothing gets lost.
Please email Joe Agosta in advance so we have an idea of a head count.
